Callback invitations will be emailed following the completion of auditions.
Casting Information
Due to the size of our rehearsal space and performance venue, the cast of Matilda will be limited to a maximum of 60 performers. While we wish we could cast everyone, this limit allows us to provide a safe, high-quality experience for the entire company.
Every performer who auditions will receive consideration for one of these 60 casting opportunities. We encourage everyone to come prepared, have fun, and show us what makes them unique!
Dates: August 24–25
- Prepare 32 bars (30–45 seconds) of a Broadway or musical theatre song.
- Do not sing a song from Matilda.
- Bring a Bluetooth-enabled device with your accompaniment track (an accompanist will not be provided).
- Be prepared to sing from Matilda if requested. (Selections are available in the Vocal Selections folder.)
Dance Call
Date: August 28
Ages 5–11: 5:30–7:30 PM
Ages 12–18: 7:30–9:00 PM
- Learn and perform a short dance combination in small groups with choreographer Mallory.
- Wear clothing you can comfortably move in and appropriate dance shoes. Please do not wear jeans or sneakers, and be sure hair is pulled back.
- No sign-up is required for the dance call. Simply arrive for your designated age group's session.
